Reflecting on May

Alnwick

May is pretty, May is mild,

Dances like a happy child;

Sing out robin; spring out flowers;

April went with all her showers,

And the world is green again;

Come out, children, to the glen,

To the meadows, to the wood,

For the earth is clean and good,

And the sky is clear and blue,

And bright May is calling you!

How was your May?

We visited Hartlepool at the beginning of May. Harvey wanted to visit where Grandma was from. What better time to remember her but on her birthday. It was also nice to see another local artist supporting RNLI.

Hartlepool

Just a little reminder we support many charities in a variety of ways:

We also visited Alnwick Castle with our little Harry Potter fan for his birthday.

Quieting the Noise

It was mental health awareness week in May and as a mental health advocate I had some tips and mental health reminders:

Repeat after me …

“Even though my kids come first, it does not mean I come last”

Enchanted Living

twilight

As I walked home last night,

I saw a lone fox dancing

In the bright moonlight.

Ā

I stood and watched,

Then took the low road, knowing

The night was his by right.

Ā

Sometimes, when words ring true,

I’m like a lone fox dancing

In the morning dew.

As your family grows it can be difficult to get everyone together at the same time, more reason to photograph that time together.

I’ll be honest, parenting is nothing like what I expected. I thought I was here to teach my kids all that’s important in life. Turns out, they’re the ones teaching me.

Location of the Month

Location of the month will be returning in May. As always, our mailing list subscribers find out first about where and other exclusive offers only available to you when you sign up.

My recent maternity model call was answered and fulfilled pretty quickly, I’ve already been out shooting with a lovely local mum to be. Keep an eye out for images coming soon!

Also get in touch if you would like to make the most of this opportunity yourself!!

Why Is Photography Important?

I’ve read that children feel safe, welcome, seen and loved if there are images of themselves in the family home. I love this idea and think this is something every family needs to know.

You see stories, memories and keepsakes are important. Life is short. Our humanity is what makes us beautiful. The light will never look or be seen the same again and neither will we.

We will never have this moment again. So, let’s capture it!
